Without thinking, I agreed to go along with my girlfriend on a bunch of different errands. After getting in the car, I inquired about where we were going. A stop at the grocery store, stop by her work to pick up a paycheck and then she took a left into the DMV parking lot. My face at this point said it all. I did not sign on for a jaunt into the absolute worst place on earth to spend a free afternoon. She said it would be quick and she just had to inquire about a tabs issue. Nothing at the DMV takes a second. So as she parked, I politely told her to have fun and pulled the Nintendo DS Lite off the backseat. Don’t ask me why her Nintendo DS Lite sat in the corner of the backseat but it was a saving grace to what turned out to be an hour at the DMV.
I was completely enthralled in the Nintendo console when she unlocked the door and got back in the car immediately complaining about how long the line was. Yea, I shook my head and at the moment could not take my eyes off the Nintendo console screen. She was surprised I wasn’t more mad but the gaming made time fly by.
